Repatriation of American soldiers’ remains in Danang
Mr. Michael Michalak, the Ambassador of the U.S. to Vietnam, received these remains on behalf of the U.S. government for placing on the airplane to return to the U.S.
It is reported that the remains were found in Quang Tri, Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong and Dak Nong provinces by joint working groups. This is the 113th hand-over of American servicemen’s remains since 1975. 1,720 Americans from the Southeast Asian War, are still considered missing, including 1,313 in Vietnam.
